About Jon

Howdy! My name is Jon Petersen and I’m a graphic designer. I recently earned my Bachelors in Graphic Design from Penn State. My designs include a combination of modernism and naturalism, blending the line between beauty and functionality, including a sustainability goal or two in the process. I am extremely experienced in branding, packaging, photography, photoshop and experiential design, while also having additional experience in editorial, UI/UX, motion, product and exhibition design.

My skills stem from my exceptional abilities to conceptualize and execute projects. I give myself ambitious projects because it challenges me to go to great lengths to complete them. I have traveled thousands of miles and spent countless hours for perfection in bringing my initial concept to life.

A few fun facts about me is that I have been a pole vaulter for 8 years, and competed for Penn State on their D1 varsity team. I also love playing beach volleyball, traveling the world, and doing wildlife and landscape photography. As you can see through some of my designs, I’m a little bit of an environmentalist, and being able to influence my design with the beauty of nature has always been a keystone in my process. Although that does not limit my abilities.
